We are looking for a Tax Credit Officer in Barcelona.


About the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Credit Officer to join our team in Barcelona. This role is crucial in enhancing R&D recognition and financing from public institutions.

You will work closely together with your colleagues in the FP&A Department.

This role requires strong proficiency in innovation management, tax incentive systems and R&D. A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and strong communication skills are essential.

You will work closely with the FP&A, Engineering, Project Management and Finance teams to identify, document and maximize R&D tax incentive opportunities across the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and summarize monthly the technical progress of Pangea's products

  • Identify eligible R&D activities

  • Monitor resources eligible to Tax Credits

  • Support resource allocation analysis

  • Gather and generate the information needed for Tax Lease, CIR and Bonificaciones operations

  • Maintain accurate documentation supporting R&D tax credit claims and innovation incentive applications

  • Coordinate with engineering and project teams to collect evidence of eligible R&D activities

  • Prepare supporting documentation for audits, tax authorities and external advisors

  • Monitor changes in tax credit legislation and assess their impact on the company

  • Support budget planning and forecasting related to tax credits and public funding

  • Ensure compliance with tax incentive requirements and internal processes

What you need to be successful:

  • R&D project management

  • Innovation consultant

  • Public funding management

  • PMO

  • Financialcontrol in Aerospace companies

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role related to R&D tax credits, innovation management, public funding or financial controlling

  • Experience working in an engineering, industrial, aerospace or technology environment is a plus

  • Knowledge of Spanish R&D tax incentives, bonificaciones and tax lease mechanisms is highly valued

  • Knowledge of the French CIR (Crédit Impôt Recherche) framework is considered a strong advantage

Soft Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Other useful skills:

  • Professional fluency in English

  • Ability to write and communicate in Spanish and French is a plus

Advanced Education:

  • MSc in Innovation Management Engineering Management Aerospace Engineering

  • Industrial Engineering

  • Finance, Accounting or Business Administration

  • Additional training in Taxation, Innovation Management or Project Management is a plus

Specialized Expertise:

  • Experience using ERPs (Odoo preferred)

  • Proficient with MS Office, spreadsheet and data management

  • Ability to process large amount of data to synthetize

  • Cost and time tracking

  • Knowledge of R&D tax credits and innovation incentive frameworks

  • Experience preparing technical and financial reports for public institutions

  • Advanced Excel skills and strong data analysis capabilities

  • Experience with budget tracking, cost allocation and project controlling

  • Familiarity with audit processes and compliance documentation

  • Experience working with large datasets and extracting meaningful insights

Knowledge of Spanish R&D tax incentives, bonificaciones and tax lease mechanisms is highly valued. Knowledge of the French CIR (Crédit Impôt Recherche) framework is considered a strong advantage.
